Synopsis
Legend of Xianwu follows Ye Chen, a once-loyal disciple who is wrongfully expelled from his sect and left with nothing. Through a fateful encounter with a mysterious flame, he begins his path into immortal martial cultivation in a chaotic world where gods, demons, immortals, and Buddhas all vie for power. Facing betrayal, deadly trials, and formidable foes, Ye Chen pushes himself to grow stronger and rewrite his destiny to reach the pinnacle of strength.
This show used to be one of my favorites until they killed off so many female leads, it was interesting to see Ye Chen be a different kind of main character than the norm with his relationships, but was ultimately disappointing. Even if they come back it's probably not until the end and the part that was so fun was him always having something to enjoy after fights as well as actually living life with them as opposed to every show having little to no romantic payoff until the very end. I don't know why it's so hard for these kinds of shows to show real commitment in relationships. This one definitely made me a little sad to a point where I couldn't feel good about the show if I wanted to again.
